About Rocky Mountain Lighting

Built by people who still do the work.

Rocky Mountain Lighting is an Alberta lighting company founded by Zack Gameiro and Gabe Lamanna. We design and install permanent outdoor lighting for homes and businesses, with an eye for clean finishes and the way a property looks every day.

We’re still directly involved—from the first conversation and the layout to installation, setup and support.

Our story

It started with lighting. Then it became something bigger.

Before Rocky Mountain Lighting, the work started with exterior and seasonal lighting around Edmonton. The more time we spent on homes, the more permanent lighting made sense—not only as a way to skip rehanging Christmas lights, but as something useful throughout the year.

Warm white on an ordinary night. Colour for a celebration. A system tucked neatly into the roofline when it’s off.

In 2026, we turned that work into Rocky Mountain Lighting Ltd. and began building the company around permanent lighting full-time. The idea remains simple: pay attention to the details, install something we’d be happy to see on our own homes, and be there after the installation too.

The people behind RML

Two founders. Both in the work.

Gabe and Zack both meet customers, prepare estimates, plan projects and work on installations. Each brings experience to the details that make a lighting job look right and work well.

01 / Co-founder

Gabe Lamanna

Gabe brings years of construction and residential job-site experience to RML. He knows how different fascias are built, how to match track colour to a home, and how to plan a route that looks intentional from the ground.

He left construction to build Rocky Mountain Lighting alongside Zack. Gabe meets customers, handles many of our estimates, plans layouts and works on installations. His eye for the building and his conversations with the customer shape the project from the start.

02 / Co-founder

Zack Gameiro

Zack works across installation, planning, controls and the customer side of RML. He quotes projects, meets customers and helps turn an idea for a property into a system that is clear to use and practical to support.

He also builds the tools and processes behind the work—how projects are managed, how problems get solved and how the experience can improve. Like Gabe, he stays involved on site and with customers.

How we work

One standard, from estimate to finish.

We both take estimates, talk with customers, plan layouts and install lighting. Gabe’s knowledge of fascia, colour matching and building details strengthens the finished look. Zack’s work on controls, project systems and operations helps make the result straightforward to use and support.

We make the decisions together and stay close to the work. The installation, the controls and the customer experience all need to hold up.

Still hands-on

You’ll probably meet us on your project.

We still measure properties, plan routes, install track, configure controls and answer questions ourselves. Staying close to the work makes it easier to notice what needs improving and harder to ignore a problem.

As RML grows, more people will be part of that work. We want to keep the connection between the decisions we make and what actually happens on a customer’s property.

What we care about

The details matter when something stays on your home.

It should look good when it’s off.

The track becomes part of the property. Its colour, routing, alignment and placement matter as much as the lights at night.

Warm white matters.

A system should be useful on an ordinary evening, with colour ready for holidays and the moments worth celebrating.

The system should make sense.

You should know what is being installed, how to control it and what happens if a component needs attention.

We stay connected to the work.

Being involved before, during and after installation helps us solve problems and improve how we do the next project.
